Brief History of Hamilton Musical Repairs.
The business was established in 1989
concentrating on servicing Brass, Woodwind and case repairs.
Anne Logan started the business after the successful completion
of a 4 year apprenticeship with the Q.L.D. Department of Education.
Anne is experienced in Fitting & Turning, Piano repairs, French
polishing & Lacquering, Wood Machining, Cabinet Making, Jewellery
& Watch Making. Certificates for the successful completion
of the apprenticeship for "Qualified Instrument Repairer Class
A" were issued by TAFE & Department of Education.
A new initiative was made in 1999 to start the manufacture
of Metal Fifes used in primary schools
bands. In 2002 a decision was taken to diversify the business
to the repairs of bagpipes & practice
chanters, we make plastic standard and long practice chanters
and a practice goose. We also stock and can access an extensive
range of parts and accessories for these instruments. We are
now in a position to offer to our customers a comprehensive
range of services & products in the Musical Instrument Repair
Industry.
